TRUIMPH! is a timely program that reflects the voices of today's activism, issues and resistance that embrace Voter Rights, social unrest, the LGBTQ Movement, empowerment, and ultimate resilience power and freedom of the human spirit.

PART 1 - livestreamed on Sunday, November 1 - features an excerpt from the Fannie Lou Hamer Story, performed by Mzuri Moyo Aimbaye. This piece celebrates the historical Fannie Lou Hamer, a fierce Mississippi Voter Rights advocate who fought tirelessly for Voter Rights in the state of Mississippi during the Civil Rights Movement in the 60's.

PART 2 - livestreamed Sunday, November 8 - This program includes works performed by four multi-disciplined women who speak to adversity and empowerment:

Lynne Jassem (Tapping My Way to the Nuthouse) Told from a child's voice through spoken word, mime and dance, one women takes us on a journey of her coming out and the pressures of being a young performer with an overpowering stage mother.

Juli Kim (Abandon) In this Korean dance piece, a woman abandons both beauty and docility in favor of inner strength and beauty.

Sergia Starr (I Didn't Cry) An excerpt from a personal story of the loss of a sister who experienced domestic violence and ultimately contracted HIV Aids from her husband.

Sharon Nyree Williams (Dare to Claim the Sky) An honest and unfiltered poetic journey of a woman who addresses social justice, depression, resilience and being Black in America.

Each program will include excerpts from pre-recorded performances, interviews with the artists, and the opportunity for audiences to have an exchange with the artists via live chat.

The 2-Part series will be directed by Fay Hauser-Price ("Shameless") and co-hosted by husband/wife team James Reynolds ("Days of Our Lives") and Lissa Reynolds ("A Woman of Independent Means").

This program is presented with the support of an arts grant from the City of West Hollywood and Adilah Barnes Productions.
