The poignant, shocking and sometimes humorous story of Shesee Jones, a young woman living on Texas’ Death Row.

Ashley Wilkerson is an award-winning actress, poet, and wellness practitioner from Dallas, Texas. She graduated from the acclaimed Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing Arts as a Theater Major & attained her B.A. in Cultural Studies and Media from The New School in NYC.
Wilkerson has had principal roles in an array of theatrical, commercial and film productions including the indie hit, Hunter Gatherer, The Mountaintop (Jubilee Theatre), Mississippi Goddamn (World Premiere, South Dallas Cultural Center), Speed Killed My Cousin (Carpetbag Theater/National Tour), and was commissioned by the South Dallas Commissioning Arts Program to write and perform her one-woman show, Freckle In My Eye.
Freckle In My Eye has been presented at The University of North Carolina, Asheville; BAM Academy, Austin, Texas; South Dallas Cultural Center, Dallas Fringe Fest and National Performance Network. Wilkerson has facilitated empowering workshops with incarcerated girls and women. She is also a trauma-informed Mindfulness Meditation teacher and the founder of Brother Breathe.
