Jacquelyn Brown-Benefield is a singer-songwriter on a mission to create music that inspires and empowers us to live, love and relate from our highest selves.  Born and raised in The Bronx, before moving to Los Angeles in 2012, Brown-Benefield sang in and directed various musical projects in the Washington D.C. area, as the former lead vocalist of the D.C.-based contemporary jazz and R&B cover band Jazzy Blu.
Brown-Benefield has graced the stages of the renowned DC venues Blues Alley, Bohemian Caverns, and Takoma Station; and has opened for Mary J. Blige, Brian McKnight, Boyz II Men, and the legendary R&B groups The Whispers, The O'Jays and The Stylistics.  She has performed as the guest musical artist for speaking events featuring the host of OWN TV's Iyanla Fix My Life, Iyanla Vanzant; in ensembles with Sweet Honey in the Rock and on NBC's The Voice; and at the Agape International Spiritual Center.
